Gilroy

Maddening restrictions.

Gilroy has a nagging problem.

There are numerous, and very productive, farms surrounding the town. The produce needs to be picked up by full-sized big rigs, but the CHP says they're too long for the area's narrow country roads. The tickets are so expensive that some truckers are refusing to make pickups in the area, and the farmers are hopping mad.

No pictures yet, but here's a link to an article in their local newspaper.

The CHP admits it's unfair, but says they have no choice but to enforce the state regulations. The situation calls for action in Sacramento. (Too bad they've got, let's just say, other priorities.)
